No, Ole Boy, I'm not done yet.
What OB is referring to is the creation of a new sound pack for the Aeronca C3 and K. The sound packs that come with those planes sound more like a steam engine than an aircraft engine. I was able to find some pretty good video of Aeronca C3s being started, idling, taxiiing, flybys, landings, shut downs. I will use the audio from those videos to construct a much more accurate sound pack for these planes...which used the Aeronca E-133 2-cylinder opposed air cooled engine, rated between 36 and 40 horsepower.
Got a lot of work to do before this sound pack is ready. Have to convert the videos from AVI and FLV to MPGs. Then take them into Windows Movie Maker and cut out the sections of the videos with just the right sounds. Then extract the audio tracks from those video segments, save them as wav files. Then take those raw wav files into a couple of wav editors to clean them up, loop them, and export them as the final wav files for the sound pack.
Will begin working on it after lunch...I am making baked penne pasta with a sauce that simmered for about 6 hours yesterday, cooled and refrigerated over night, then slowly warmed back up to a simmer and simmered for another 3 hours today......GOING TO BE GOOOOD!!!
