OBS and mouse viewing

FlyingsCool

SOH-CM-2019
So I've been using OBS for a few years now since it handles laptop video cards and Fraps didn't.

Well, I also like to use the mouse viewing to look around the cockpit when I'm flying.

I couldn't figure out why OBS wasn't capturing my video, it would capture the sound, but all the video would be would be a picture. Turns out it works fine with normal viewing (I do have Trackir, so I'll have to try it with that. I've been less than happy with Trackir integration however, when you pause it, MSFS won't stay on view, after a few moments it snaps to front among other issues), but can't handle recording when I click on mouse viewing.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a fix (i.e. capture settings that work)

I guess mouse viewing is using a mode of the video card that's hard to capture what's being displayed to the screen.

My system is a 4790K on an MSI Gaming 5 with 16 GB and a 2070 Super running a 4K monitor.
