I received a copy of Ph2 from grumpybear007 and installed it with his instruction to the letter. And after everything was installed I started the game. In the middle of initialing the game the error came up
{"The driver cannot recognize the specified command parameter"}

I have read all of the treads and find that no one has an easy fix

I have codecs installed.
Downloaded the indeo codecs
Downloaded the K-lite codecs
Videos are installed.

I know that it is just a game. That having the error pop-up every time you start the game is a nuance.
P.S. Waiting for Ph3

If just a pain in the butt, Quick Combat, and Campaign work Fine

You can turn off WARNINGS in Workshop, but it's an all or nothing affair.

If something major does arise, you'll never know it.

But since you've got it on disc, how bad can it be ? :isadizzy::isadizzy::isadizzy:

Same problem, tried the same solutions, not solved yet. I think it has to do with the videos, since I get none of them to play, including the intro video.

Find the videos and put the path to the folder here

Also if you find them double click on one seeif it plays.

I found the vids. in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\CamVids

And the intro vid. in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\Videos
is this the right place for them. They all work when I play them with the
Windows media Player.
Thanks JP
P.s. the vid doesn't work on the intro.

dont know if it would help but have you updated your vid card driver?

Videos not playing

Not sure if this is going to be of any help to you or kozmo, but after reading your post, I tried to play my vids, (they where associated with vlc at the time) and got a "broken avi file" when I tried to open them.

Reluctently (last time I screwed with codex's it was a dissaster) I got the klite "mega" download. When I went to install, it asked several times if I wanted to uninstall previoulsy versions of other codexs, which i said yes to (as it recommended). Did a restart after uninstalling the existing codexs, and then restarted the klite install. Pretty much said yes to all the questions asked. After the install, vids are now associated with a program called "media pro classic" which I have never heard of before, but they do play. And, on the intro, the sound would play before, but no video, now I have sound and video.

Hate to make recommendations I know little about, but it may appear that if you are going to use the klite, you have to uninstall other codex bundles, as there appears that a conflict arises if you dont. ( I could be wrong about that)

Also, I don't do campaigns yet, so I can't say that they are going to play in the game.

good luck,,hope you get it straightend out
