I have got disc today OFF phase 3.
Install starts out fine but then about 5% of the way through the installation I get this error:

""""aircraft/birstiol_F2b_QC1\Models\Bristol_F2b_QC1_Cockpit0.m3d
an error occurred while trying to copy a file:
Copy Protection Error- The read fialed because the sector is encrypted.
Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation."""

If I click on Ignore then a whole bunch more errors occur, all similar messages about encrypted files concerning the F2b.

What is the problem?
Why are sectors encrypted?
Please explain the error.

2: How can I manually install? I don't know how to copy from disc to HDD because the files are XX.BIN files.

How do I manually open and unpack .BIN files?

Unfortunately there have been a batch of bad DVDs sent out and what can I say other than sorry.

Please contact us at support@overflandersfields.com and quote your order number and name we will:

1) Arrange a replacement DVD

2) If you have broadband organise to replace whatever file or files are corrupt on your DVD so that you can be up and running in less than 24 hours.

Sincerely

Ok, yes I tried emailing already about 15 minutes before posting. And await their reply.

I had a similar problem with my disk.

They sorted it out for me really quickly (within a day). And I am now happily living the life of a WWI fighter pilot.

I'd like to say a big thank you to the team for their fantastic support.:ernae:

Same here, after my :typing: for :help:

Soon, the OFF team got me up running, and again I say :amen:

No problem Fielder - don't guys forget to post some combat reports! :taekwondo:-

Yeah my disc crapped out at camel_SQ3-t.dds and from there on until I got tired of pushing Skip. Email sent.

Miles e-mail received - we are on it!

Apologies for this unfortunate scenario.

Pleased to say we now have a standard routine that enables us to help users who have the bad disks get up and running ASAP if they have broadband.
Disks are being replaced as a matter of course but this helps obviate another 2 week delay.

Disk failures so far are still in single digits

Well I can vouch for the success of the standard solution. From beginning the download to flying my first flight was just over an hour. Fantastic support! :jump:
