OFF Up and Running With One Problem

Got my copy from Cameljockey today (THANK YOU) and it installed perfectly I believe. I am running in 19X12 and the graphics are outstanding.
However, I get an occasional freeze and thats it. Task manager reports that CSF3 is not responding. Any ideas?
Intel QX 6700 3.7 ghz H20 cooled
8800 GTX's in SLI
Vista 64
Both programs are set to run in XP Compatibility Mode and as Administrator.

Did you ever hear about the kid crying with a loaf of bread uner each arm

The game was written for XP, be thankfull for what you've got. :d

Could be overheating graphics. Could also be things like sound card lockups etc, check you have the latest drivers for video card, sound, motherboard etc.
Check the cooling, or try lowering scenery/terrain settings by a notch down to test. Or open your case and test.

No overheating, my entire system is water cooled. At max resolution settings my GPU's never exceed 49C and the CPU is around 39C. I believe it has to do with Vista. I can play COD2 all day long with no issues.:isadizzy:

Per chance could you be running all the Detail Sliders maxed out ?

NEVER exceed 4 on Scenery or Terrian

The 1st the 'Overall' does nothing, it's only a gang operator for the others, as it's a leftover from CFS3

Should be maxed at 5/4/4/5/5 :d
 
I know alot of things to check, but it's all in XP. So before I wear out my keyboard, check out the sliders :ernae:

I will check, please stand by. I am currently defragging and checking my drivers and having a little scotch, which may slow me down.
