Vista 32 SP1, TrackIR4 (4.1.036) w/ Trackclip Pro
AMD Athlon 64 Dual core, 2.3GHz, 4GB ram
nVidia 8800GT w/ 1GB RAM
Have CFS3.1 CDs

Uninstalled everything per a couple of detailed posts (now lost?)
Installed TrackIR
Installed duo-core optimizer for AMD Athlon
Used the 'safe' method of install...
CFS (tried once with patch, once without)
OFF P2

No error msgs (other than the O...dll)
No joy.

P2 working great otherwise, just no TrackIR
TrackIR working great with several other titles, but not CFS or P2

Halp! :redf:

you might try re installing the TrackIR driver, I found it didn't play ball for me first off but a removal and reinstall got it working

My TrackIR Pro works fine in Vista64.

Make sure you have the latest driver update from Natural Point (TrackIR), released recently. I think its 4.1.30 version.

Also make sure you've set the radio button in the trackIR software to enable TrackIR Pro, otherwise you'll find head movement erratic.

Un/installed TrackIR 4.1.036 (the recent release). No joy.
Again, P2 working great otherwise, just no TrackIR
TrackIR working great with several other titles, but not CFS or P2
Other thoughts?
PS - I've kept Pol's stuff bookmarked since RB days

Well you seem to have ticked all the boxes so this is a tricky one for sure and highly frustrating no doubt. Does CFS3 appear as one of the default profiles ? Does the blue light come on when you load CFS3/OFF ? Have you pulled the usb plug out and reinserted to allow re-detection of the device ? Try activating your CFS3 profile immediately before flying OFF to see if it "sticks".

Otherwise it may be a job for Vincent over at Natural point to look into. I'm a trackir convert and cannot imagine flying any flight sim without it these days. So good luck with it.

Catch - That pointed me in the right direction. CFS did not appear as a default. So, blew away TrackIR profiles & rebuilt. Works like a champ!:wiggle: <- happy camper

Now I REALLY want P3

Ahhhh yes - the latest enhanced games download at Natural Point includes CFS - I forgot to mention that :banghead:

Hey Catch, due to the Natural Point patching CFS3 for Vista I can now do trackir with OFF. I remember before "the Crash of 08", you asked/commented on the blue side triangles when head panning quickly. I wonder, did anyone provide a solution to this? It's not really a deal breaker, but does eat at the imersion factor.

PS- God I want OFF3. Arrrgghh.............

I think Winder mentioned that it's probably down to video card memory. Paning with TrackIR puts an extra load on the card memory and main PC CPU. Try reducing your detail levels in either the config panel or the workshop selections.

Thanks Sandbagger, Yep I reduced the graphics and it does reduce the trianglwes to a certain extent. It's all about finding the balance.
