I haven't installed FS24 yet, but was interested in the 27 Nov update...
I've attached the full link, but I was wondering about the following statement: "As part of the patch planned for the week of Dec 9th, we will add the ability for users to disable/enable content on their own." I'm not really sure what that entails, and whether we'll be able to install content on our own drives vs. having to stream it?
My understanding was that we would be able to install content on our own systems in order to help reduce the need to stream everything...

It means that you can disable MSFS2020 Marketplace purchases which you now regret, and I have several.
The option to install on your own drive will be enabled once the MSFS2024 Marketplace is active.

I don't understand the need to disable 2020 Marketplace purchases. Why?
Locally on your own PC from within FS2024 that is. Many addons don't work as expected or can conflict with other addons so it's probably a good idea being able to controll what is actually streamed into your local machine?

Because they didn't let third party devs test their stuff until about two weeks before they were shipping, and I think MS was blindsided by how many problems with compatibility devs encountered.

In a universe without financial quarters, MSFS2024 would have been MSFS2025...

Most Marketplace content will be FS2020 SDK stuff for the first months, so they need to get the compatibility stuff fixed before they start charging people money for FS2020 stuff in FS2024.

Let's hope the quality control doesn't end with mere compatibility, because in my experience the worst place to buy addons from is the Marketplace.

Wah hail, as my antecedents were won't to say: Update this AM and plane I was working with was developing into a good hand flyer, but the new update absolutely made the pitch function of the autopilot unusable.
