fsds, why is it that when i want to load up a back drop from the back drop folder it only wants to load a fsd file?? it dose this with every single folder except projects folder of course because there are fsd files in there, going to give up on this program soon and return to 3d max if this keeps up.

Any body understand whats going on here? thanks for your help )

OH MY F*****G GOD!

it was simple i figgered it out...lol, this whole program is very differant then how i was trained to do 3d in school. What Im beginning to learn with fsds is that you throw away everything you know from other programs and get drunk and then use it and all goes well :) cause if you approach it the conventional way it will drive you nuts!

LOL!
but it dose work well, and it is vvvveeerryy powerfull... very powerfull indeed.

It can be frustrating indeed:banghead:, but I do like it, maybe one day I'll make the jump to GMax or such, but FSDS is so simple it's hard to give up. V3.5 is more powerful, and as far as I've tried, if you build your model in it and do not assign any unsupported features/anims, you can open it in 2.24 and add your anims and such, export straight to CFS2. (without the need for all that SDK export tools that 3 now uses. I've always wandered if you could set V3 up like GMax, and use the FS2002 SDK with switches to export straight to CFS2 instead of the FS2004 SDK.

Happy sailing,
Jamie

PS. whilst lubrication helps with inspiration and artistic flair, it can have a detrimental effect on productivity :friday:
