Old Threads

Hello Smilo, et al.

Over the last week or so, I have gone back and looked over quite a few threads in this forum since the beginning to look for any interesting topics.
I started this because I was looking for a particular subject for a current discussion.
I found it within the first hour or so, but kept on reading because some of the old threads are really quite informative.

Smilo wanted me to do a Texturing / Texture Layout Tutorial which he started a couple years back.
I found that I had actually covered just about all the topics in two or three prior threads.
The only thing I had not covered was Transparent Textures because non of the Demon-stration aircraft had them.
The problem though is that those threads had all the attachments stripped for one reason or another.

I also found quite a few other interesting threads for the designers.
I gave one of them a zombie revival because of its relevance to current projects.
I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to Sticky any of the old threads so we don't keep asking the same questions over and over again.

Thoughts?

thoughts...

i'm not sure i'd like to wade through a bunch
of stickies before i get to the current posts.
also, even though our current stickies are old,
i'm adverse to deleting any of them.
especially those stuck by senior admins.
i might be dumb,
but, i ain't stupid.

that said, i would suggest simply bumping a thread
you find relevant or interesting that is buried in the past.
this smiley, :bump:and the word BUMP
would be more than enough to bring it up front.

as always, it's just my opinion
