Hi all
I continue to try and operate some of my favorite old turbo props from FS9 / FSX in Prepar3D. For the most part the ones I have tried work quite well although I have found one recurring theme in most - starting. Both the Convair 580 and most recently the Basler BT-67 refuse to start consistently. I believe I have fixed the 580 by changing sound packages but the Basler remains a challenge. It will start flawlessly on one attempt and then refuse to do anything but run through the initial spool up cycle with no ignition. Even Control + E does not work every time. Once running both aircraft fly well - the Convair perhaps better than in FS9 and the sound works well. I had previously experienced a similar problem with one of the more modern jet trainers and was able to fix it by using the "mixture full rich" - control + shift + f4 (even though there is not such a thing in the jet) but this has not helped with the two airplanes mentioned above. I'm wondering if this might simply be a problem I will have to live with in ported over / native FSX airplanes used in Prepar3D or if there might be something I could look for in the sound .cfg file which might help smooth the process. I use a Merculief package in the Convair and a Nigel Richards Dash7 package in the Basler - which by the way seems excellent for the BT-67.
Opinions appreciated.
Thanks
