that makes me wish i was back out there....even ole Schrader was up to 5th late in the run until he burned up a right rear or something..but those guys who were so mad at Kyle Larson during speedweeks when he dumped that guy in the battle of the beach are going to have to admit that kid can drive a race car...i mean he is the second man to win the four big titles in history?..

He won the 2011 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway, winning in all three types of USAC cars in a single night, only the second driver in history to accomplish that.[SUP][5][/SUP] He holds the sprint car track record at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, California, set in 2010.[SUP][6][/SUP] In 2012, he won six USAC National Midget races including the Turkey Night Grand Prix.[SUP][7]

the above from wiki..

congrats to Austin Dillon for the win...great run by him...[/SUP]

I could not stay up to watch the big race, but I did watch one of the heat events. Damn! That's racing!!!!

id love to see the cup cars with a dirt setup..i believe it can be done, they can set them up for a road course,,and now the trucks for dirt..why not a cup car?..and id like to see them run a mile dirt track like the sacramento mile,or the mile at syracuse NY..or even better yet Terra Haute speedway.

now that would be some racing....

Bring back Occaneechee in Hillsboro. The layout is still there, .9-mile dirt, first race I went to in 1961, won by Rex White. Never missed another one up to the time the track closed for good to make room for Talledaga in 1968. Blame it on the Bible-thumpers at the time, who didn't like racing on Sunday.

I was in Natural Bridge, but I watched the heats and the finale. Yup, that's the way it is done and the Truck Series these days is the only series in NASCAR gittin'-r-done. Great finish by our homeboy Timmy Peters and young Bubba Wallace drove a hellava race too. Kudos to Austin Dillon and Kyle Larson too.

man Cassie thats a cool site..im happy to see that restoration...there is a group trying hard to bring back my old home track..the man who spearheaded shutting it down has now passed away and the people have baned together to bring racing back.with guys like Brad Sweet and the Dibiddendo kid coming from the same town..they are really excited about bringing it back now.

Dagnabit - I've been moving to a new house and missed it!!!
Is it on again tonight?

I am sure it will be rebroadcast P., check your times and dates.

David, I live only an hour and a half from Ocaneechee, go down and stop when going to Luck Dog Land in Chapel Hill, always stop. Really want to make room for one of their events, Sept. 28 with Marvin Paunch would be super, knewn Marvin when he drove for the Woods Bros. (the originals). Did you see the archived photos of the races? I am actually in the color shot about 9 frames down faceing the track. NASCAR wants diversity, they need to think about diversity in their tracks too. Lemme tell you, ol' Wendell was top dog on dirt in Danville.
