Great movie but very sad ending. Still one of my favorites.

In many ways, Lazenby is my favorite actor that has played 007...
If I recall correctly, it was Lazenby's agent who told him to do only one film and not commit to additional 007 films. His agent was thinking the 007 franchise was at its end.
I would count that as the dumbest things an agent could do. Shows no logic at all.
There was more to the story than that but his final firing was based on something he never said. It might have been something his agent told the media. At that point he was done as far as Cubby was concerned.
George was good at the role but came with too much baggage in the end.
