One day sale, Flight Deck 5 for FS2004/FSX for about $16 (US)

the flight deck series rocked the FS9 world, it was a MUST for us naval aviation fans, it was interesting on early FSX days, but acceleration expansion pack made it obsolete (once again, for acceleration installs)aircraft are the usual Abacus quality, IMHO they don´t make the cut for current days, carriers are NOT acceleration "ready" which means you don´t have the catapult feature but do have the cables(as stated before), and everything in it are port overs. Now if you´re a FS9 user, i do suggest you get it..FSX?, save your pennies and get acceleration instead.
Best regards

Sorry, I don't agree :) .
Apart from the installation advantage of having an all-in-one package, allmost all functionality of the FlightDeck series for FS9 was/is available as individual freeware packages with at least the same, and mostly better, quality.
Just my opinion of course :icon_lol:

As far as comparing FD5 with Accelleration: Yes, I agree to opt for Accelleration as well.
But again, there's enough freeware around (although not covering all of Acceleration's functionality), to question whether it's worth buying Accelleration for it.

But I guess for buying FSX/Accelleration it's more of a principle thing if it's worth to an individual of paying for something with (a little ? ... subjective again ?) more functionality then downloading something available for free.....

I gotta agree with Rob. Everything you need for carrier ops in FSX and FS9 is available for free online......

You may have to do some searching but AVSIM should have it all.
