'One Of My Favorite Movie Lines'

Got a few favorites

Death to Smoochy
Reporter: What does it feel like to be the most hated man in America?
Randolf(Robin Williams): Hey, in a country full of neanderthals, I wear the f$%&ing badge of honor!

Blues Brothers
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

Blazing Saddles
Sheriff Bart to Klansmen: Hey!...Where the white women at?

It could be worse...
How?
It could be raining.

"It's a helluva thing killing a man. You take away all he's got.....and all he's ever gonna have."
"We all have it coming, kid".
Simple, but memorable lines.

" I think we're gonna need a bigger boat."

The line was not in the script. Roy Scheider adlibbed that line and it worked so well that the take in which he said it made it into the movie. Another great bit of actor added dialogue....when Hannibal Lector was describing how he ate the musician and did that freaky sucky mouth noise...Anthony Hopkins added that on his own...made the scene a million times more powerful, so that take was the one selected for the finished film.

OBIO

from "the big lebowski"

You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me.

or from the most important movie ever made, "ROCKY"

Ah come on, Adrian, it's true. I was nobody. But that don't matter either, you know? 'Cause I was thinkin', it really don't matter if I lose this fight. It really don't matter if this guy opens my head, either. 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.

or from my personal favorite "crouching tiger hidden dragon"
(which is also the highest grossing foriegn-language film of all time)

you want to know who i am?
I am...the invincible sword goddess!
armed with the green destiny that knows no equal!
be you li mu bai or giant crane, bow your head and ask for mercy!
i am the dragon from the desert, who comes from nowhere and leaves no trace!
today i fly over eu-mei! tomorrow, I topple wudan!

"Cigarette?"

- "Yeah, I know."

"I may not be much, Mr. Finch, but I'm still sheriff of Maycomb County. And Bob Ewell fell on his knife. Good night, sir." -- Sheriff Tate, "To Kill a Mockingbird"

"I mean to kill you in one minute, Ned. Or see you hanged in Fort Smith at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?" -- Rooster Cogburn, "True Grit"

"We haven't the proper facilities to take you all prisoner! Sorry!" -- Major Harry Carlysle as played by Christopher Good, "A Bridge Too Far"

"The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel. It'd take you ten minutes to hack through it with this. Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go." -- Max, "Mad Max"

"Open the pod bay doors, HAL." -- Dave Bowman, "2001; A Space Odyssey"

"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers, For he today who sheds his blood with me shall be my brother, Be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition, and gentlemen in England now abed shall think themselves acursed they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whilst any speaks, that fought with us upon St. Crispin's day!" -- King Henry V, "Henry V"

"Consider yourselves already dead. Once you accept that idea, it won't be so tough. " -- Gen Frank Savage, "Twelve O'Clock High"

Surprised no-one mentioned this yet...

Pulp Fiction..

JULES: There's a passage I got memorized, seems appropriate for this situation: Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
