And no, I'm not Britney Spears!

There I was in the middle of a restoration project on a perfectly good P-47...making great progress on it. Then I build my new system and get everything up and running. Do I jump back into the P-47 project. No. I started a new project....Mr. Ito's F-86D Sabre Dog. Have the panel lines done, working on rivets. Decide to take a break from the project and do some flying. Fired up a plane I haven't flown in a while....and decide that the exhaust nozzle needs some work. So, into Photoshop I go to rework the exhaust nozzle parts. They looked great...but then the inside of the engine looked horrible in comparison...so I go back into Photoshop and dress that area up.....but then the panel lines are too wide and the bare metal is too chrome like. So, I lay down new panel lines, add more detail, and redo the bare metal. Looks great...but now the intake opening is way too black and lacks depth. So, back I go and give that a going over...but then the specular shine is too high....so off I go and adjust it to suit my taste and the new bare metal skin. But now, the panel is too blue when it should be a near black and the plane needs a better after burner flame and some wing vortex thingies and the Shockwave light treatment.

Why can't I stick with one project until it is done? Why is it that every time I fly a plane I HAVE to go messing with it?

Would someone PLEASE build one plane that is so perfect that I can fly it without having to start a new project..which inevitably won't get done any time soon...just like the 287 other projects that are taking up HD space.

Lol, you're not the only one, Tim. I think I spend more time tweaking and tuning than I do flying....It's an obsession for sure!

Best I can do is give you a reference to my therapist. :wavey:

Try writing 3-4 of your recent unfinished projects down somewhere, attack them first and check 'em off as you go. When they're done, add a few more.
When I was home on leave in 1969 I started building a HO scale locomotive kit. Brought it back to San Diego, worked on it off and on during two Vietnam deployments, finally finished it in 1973 when I was in the Philippines. :icon_lol: Sometimes life (war) gets in the way, sometimes it's other projects. If you're having fun it's no big deal.
