Operation Baedeker

I was not happy with the first release so I've deleted it (very usefull, thank you SoH!). I've read some documentations in order to try to make it more realistic / immersive.

Pilots were guided to bandits by ground control and then, the aircraft itself was in charge of the interception. In this mission, pilot scramble and reach immediately the south of Norwich where there will be some bandits. After this first interception, he will have to make a loop in order wait for further control informations.
To simulate this, waypoints after the loop are hidden and will not appear until the end of the loop (15 minutes). After this, the newt vector to intercept a bandit on it's way back home will be shown.
None of the bandits are mission goal, interceptions are at player convenience. A special spawn is placed just before the end, it will generates a random mission goal 'must survive' that will immediately be resolved. This is just a trick in order to have a success message if player come back home safely because there is no other mission goal in this mission.

Moreover, I've added a mission, player will fly a German bomber. I would have prefered to use the Do217E2 but in order not not have any extra download, I've used the Ju88.
If some of you want to fly the Do217, I can release it.

Do217E2 ..love to try this model ,,,,if theres a link ,,,and also does the Aircraft="ETO_Def_MKII", shoot when lined up or does one need to jump in gunner seat as well ...i did try this and noted i needed to jump in the back gunner seat , was curious

thanks

joshua

ok, I'll add the Do217 when I'll have time.

Regarding the Defiant, the rear gunner open fire automatically but it is very hard to be in good position... sometimes, it's very frustrating.

thanks ...led , I WILL try and try and try ,,, its a delight and feeling of what one went through as best as one can , and thanks for the historical links , makes me read

Ok, the pack is revised. There are now 2 alternates:

Alternate 1: ETO V1.40 or higher only

Alternate 2: ETO V1.40 or higher + 2 aircrafts to download at BeauBrummie's site

Files have all the same name in both cases in order to not overload your install with multiple files uselessly.

1 mission: RAF (Defiant)
1 mission: Luftwaffe (Alternate 1: stock Ju88 / Alternate 2: Do217)

I've uploaded the new file "Operation-Baedeker_Rev2.zip" but it is still the rev1 that is avaialble, I suppose that it's the same as a first upload, file has to be approved by admins.

LED-zep , great work many thanks on both versions
