This Campaign was done before but it was a long time ago before all the new planes and ships.I am redoing the whole campaign and adding to it.Mine will start September 9,1944 with attacks around Davao.There will be attacks on Japanese convoys,airfields and harbors.I will also go into more detailed attacks on Formosa and the convoys around it.

Later I will be doing Okinawa and attacks on the home Islands of Japan ( already have a couple of missions ).

Not sure how many missions I will do yet but I do have alot of info on everything including what ships were sunk and where.Plus which airfields were attacked.Some missions you will be flying Hellcats,some Corsairs,Helldivers and Avengers ( maybe some night attack missions ).

Good news Al. When I was assigned near Davao City a few years ago, I used to wonder what it must have been like there during WWII. I bet the skies were filled with lots of interesting aeroplanes back then. Not much now other than the four or five daily flights into the airport.
 
Alot of the planes that fought there came from Formosa,it was part of the Japanese plan.This way they could send the planes to where needed.Not all their ships were in Japan either so they could get to the Philippines faster when needed.

It's also going to depend on how much interest there is in it.Most people are into the European theater right now.
I also need to download a few things from SOH and the links aren't working yet for what I need.I have the ships and planes but not all the scenery yet.The links for the objects for MR scenery are still down.I had them but lost alot of stuff with a computer crash.I'm using the scenery from the original Operation Victor Campaign right now so I can work on things.

I'd love to get back to the pacific. I think we have just been relying on too few campaign makers lately and they just happen to prefer the European theater. I certainly have no beef with Rami and all of his Euro stuff, its all great. In fact I have been working on a little Euro project too. However, I would love someone to get us re-focused on the pacific. :bump:
 
Evendow Talon does not like me I will say this. It was a World war after all!

It gets very boring in my opinion when you only fly in one Theater against only one enemy. Its more fun when get to fly in different Theaters and with different Airforces available through this program!

Carrier warfare is a different flavor of flying and as much fun as escorting the B17 with a P47 or P51 over the ETO.

I hope no one got offeded with my opinion!
 
If is has wings (WW-I to Viet-Nam) it fits my needs! That said ... I'd love to see some really good, later-war campaigns and missions ... not that I'm tired of shooting up A6M2's, D3A1's and B5N2's ... but it would be nice to hunt some "newer" targets, wouldn't it? GO, AL!
 
Talon, l tried your AVG campaign but can't get it to work without: MR_Tree_package.zip, lwd_tree_library.zip, and mr_libobjs_complete.zip. Outhouse won't let me dwnload them.
Anyone know where I can get these 3 files?
 
Because of the SOH crash not all downloads are working,They are trying to fix them.Netwings is down also which had those files.I'm not sure but check Simviation.

I consider CFS2 a virtual WWII aerial warfare museum, with the huge advantage that nothing is on a static display.

So, whatever new challenge comes along from any front WWII was fought....

So the missions I have are
1- attacking a convoy
2- attacking harbor
3- attacking an airfield
4- repealing a Japanese air strike on the fleet
These are all around the Philippines.
The next missions will be attacks on Formosa to strike shipping and airfields.Alot of the planes that went to the Philippines were first at Formosa.

Some of the Japanese planes you will be fighting against are-Judy's,Jills,Zeroes,Georges,Bettys',Vals and Kates.
I will be using alot of Usio ships but will keep the fps down.Collins Essex Class Carriers work well also and I will be using VN ships.

I have MR Formosa scenery thanks to MR and I plan on using his Philippines scenery when I'm able to get it.

My plan is to do the Philippines,Okinawa and Attacks on the Home Islands ( Xavier scenery for Japan).

I cannot believe you that you are still mad at me because I simply ask you if could could consider making your campaigns for the Japanese side as well. I cannot understand that.

I would have taken my request as a compliment. All you could have say is that you did not like making missions and campaign for the Japanese side. Instead you told me for to make them myself in a nasty Pm. I did not know how to use the Private Message at that time. Thats the reason a wrote my response on the forum.

Instead you have hold a negative altitude toward me since then.

I have given you several compliment on several occations while I have not ever receive a positive response from you!

I begining to feel its personal and has nothing of what I ever wrote in the forum.

I hope to put it in the past. We should all should get along since this is only a Hobby in which we share the same interest.

Some times we writte some things that are misaunderstood by others as negative but most of time we should diccuss it. Cklear the Air and move on.

This is the last time I intent to write on this silly matter.

I have no ill feeling for you but I will defend myself!
