Orbx Global

SOH-CM-2023
Two quick questions:

(i) I am running several regions in P3d, but want to use Global in FSX-SE for other areas of the world. Does Global need Orbx Libraries?

(ii) Are the various FTX free packs of airfields compatible with Global on its own, or do they require vector and LC? My reading of the product pages suggests Global alone is enough.

Thanks,

David

Hello David,
My understanding is that Global itself does not need the Orbx libraries. Global is essentially just revised ground/terrain textures that replace the defaults. You will need to install the Orbx libraries for the freeware FTX packs to work, though.

The free FTX packs of airports are compatible with Global on its own. They do not require Vector and LC. I have neither Vector nor LC installed on my computer - just Global by itself - and the freeware FTX airports work beautifully.
