Orbx releases YCNK Cessnock Airport

Orbx is pleased to announce the release of YCNK Cessnock Airport, which is situated right in the heart of the picturesque New South Wales Hunter Valley (about one hour's flight north of Sydney). The lush Hunter Valley is home to many acclaimed wineries and a thriving olive industry. A short flight from both YPEC Aeropelican and YWVA Warnervale, this airport is the final in Orbx's NSW Central Coast series.

YCNK also includes Orbx's new FTX Aero airport environment tool, which is powered by REX. FTX Aero create ultra-detailed bump mapping and markings to an airfield like nothing seen before.

This is indeed a superb airport. I had to reinstall all my Aussie scenery this weekend as the textures had become corrupted. To celebrate completing the install, I bought this airfield. Tonight I took the Tailwind out for a spin in order to blast out the cobwebs and chose Cessnock as my location for the short flight.

Could it be that there are illigal AI lumberjacks at work at the Hunter Valley ? Looks like all me trees are chopped.... :blind:

I have Scenery Complexity and Autogen Density set at Extremely Dense but this is what i've got :

I also get to see this during a split second before the scenery loads :

It seems to have to do with FTXAA_ORBXLIBS. If i uncheck that scenery these objects do not show up. Alas no effect on the dissapeared trees....

I have also tried unchecking OZx_Aus but has no effect either.

All items are checked in YCNK CP, also setup some stuff in FTX Aero.

Any idea what could be going on here ?

Btw, didn't see any AI traffic up to now neither, GA traffic set at 75%...

Any help highly appreciated !

Even without trees the airport looks lovely but looking at the screenshots it's obvious i'm missing something here... :pop4:

Hmmm I have no idea what could be amiss there, please come to the Orbx forums and lodge a support request there so that the team can help you out ok?

ORBX making FTX compatible airports is pretty much given, but they could be more specific about what features you'll miss if FTX is not installed. Checking that FlightSimStore link:"Whilst AU YCNK can be installed with FSX default terrain some features only found in the FTX AU Gold region will not be implemented"

One could easily think that autogen wouldn't be one of those missing special features since there's plenty of autogen in default Australian scenery.
