Panther, thought of you when I snapped this...

The gentleman dressed in period outfit was having a blast

I think I heard that this P-51C was recently restored/repaired after a crash a few years back. It was great to see it flying later in the day during the warbirds show.

Thank you for posting the photo, David! It is wonderful that the aircraft is flying again. Quite amazing the transition it went through from being a twisted wreck to a flying aircraft once again.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Brad Lang, the son of an original Tuskegee Airmen, and member of the Redtail Project, flew the aircraft to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Oshkosh</st1lace></st1:City>. He has been a Delta pilot for I believe a decade now, is very qualified in warbirds, and was to fly the aircraft to <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Oshkosh</st1lace></st1:City> in 2004, but the accident took place just a few months before hand, and it never happened. The plane will be "coming home" to my local airport on this Wednesday, at 2:30 pm, so I will be on hand to witness and hopefully take some photos of the event.<o></o>

The first one features a great interview with a re-enactor who is very knowledgeable on the topic of the Tuskegee Airmen, and the second features another great interview with famed Col.
