OT: 1950's Air Show Photos

This, as the title says, is rather off topic, but I figured that many of the developers and repainters here would be interested in seeing these just as I was.

This photo set contains high quality color photos that were taken at some air shows mostly between 1953 and 1956, of, at the time, in-service or recently retired military aircraft. Many of these photos, if you were not to know better (and not looking at the people's clothing), look like they could have been taken at an air show just yesterday. Note all of the "glossy sea blue" paint - I particularly like the photos of the Harpoon and Catalina (it would be great seeing examples looking just like those, flying today). It's also amazing when looking at these to consider the wide assortment of aircraft that were in US military service during those years! Some really rare aircraft within these rare photos as well.

That XC-99, the transport version of the B-36, is amazing. Saw it rotting away in San Antonio (Kelly AFB) in the late 70's, a huge huge airplane.

Excellent pictures, the 50's and 60's were a great time for aircraft design, lots of budget and less tech so it didn't take 20years to come up with a new aircraft!

Really nice set of color photos from the 50s. That wasnt cheep back then and he knew what to shoot and from what angles.

As a fellow photographer, I can understand why he added the large watermark. In today's age of digital media and unscrupulous viewers and thiefs, you have to protect your property.

I really like the paint schemes on the first Fury pic (202) and the Scorpion pic next to it. The picture of the F-107 makes everything else look really old.
