• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

OT: A good reason NOT to watch Avatar ...

I remember seeing the Exorcist at the movies when it first came out. I think I jumped TWICE throughout the entire movie and one of those times was when the phone rang!

I'm not watching it for health reasons but because it's nothing more than a pretty, hollow shell.

Dang, good thing he wasn't watching porn on his PC, probably would have done the same to him.

Why is it always Taiwanese teen dies from playing EverQuest nonstop for a week. Taiwanese man dies from playing pachinko (sp?) for days. Taiwanese man dies from "insert your reason here"<insert your="" reason="" here="">. What is it with Taiwan?</insert>

I don't recall the title now, but the scariest movie I ever watched was an 1960's, black and white movie about a family in Florida almost surviving after a nuclear holocaust...

...I had nightmares for years afterwards!

The second scariest move was "On The Beach" (1959), the first film adaptation of Nevil Shute's novel of the same name.

One that freaked me out the most as a young 'un was The Day After... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085404/

Why does this all remind me of the Irish airliner crash?
Why Irish?
Dunno.
Anyway, it crashed into a cemetery you will remember, and Fox News trumpeted:
"So far, 857 bodies have been recovered, more expected..."

I saw it both in 2D and 3D. The 2D was great, the 3D gave me a headache.

I was sitting too close (no other seats left) and just way to much going on for my eyes to keep up!

The primary reason for not seeing avatar:

lots of people find their identity and take pleasure in finding reasons not to like and complain about something the rest of the world likes.
