Got a welcome surprise at work a couple days ago when I heard the unmistakable sound of two large radials approaching at high speed. I looked up from my project out the open hanger door just in time to see Historic Flight Foundation's F7F flash by at about 200 kts in a nearly 90 degree bank with the wingtip held what looked like only inches above the runway. By the time I had scrambled outside along with everyone else in earshot he was already at 2,000ft, dipping his wing into another 90 degree bank and was gone. We tried calling him on the radio to get him to come back and do it again, but he had already changed frequencies. Sorry, it was too fast for a picture, but it made my week.
