Ya ya ya, Brett Favre Brett Favre...

You know, I've never understood the fascination with this subject. Neither good, nor bad, but really neutral is how I think it should be taken.

Like millions of other professionals in life, he has made a series of calculated decisions about how to take his talents and trade them for a compensated position. In his case, it's really entertainment.

Whether it was with Green Bay, New York Jets, or Minnesota, it was just a chance for the man to get on the field and do what he does.

He never held a gun to anyone's head, nor did he violate any laws. He just basically said, "Here I am. Here's my track record. Here's what I think I can do. What do you want to pay me?" Yeah, after several very successful years with one employer, he decided to go elsewhere.

No more than I would wish someone else to begrudge me my professional incomes, I would not wish to begrudge anyone else there's. Anyway, that's my take on it.

Cheers,

Ken

Ken, while I respect that opinion, the point remains, that this is a man that can not keep his word.
How many times now in the past 8 years has this guy told the press and the fans and the teams that he's finished he's retiring? And then, just like a woman, he changes his mind at the last minute and ... well we all know the story from there.

I don't know, its probably just me, but that kind of thing doesn't inspire a lot of respect in my opinion. He's not a man of his word. Never a good thing.

A Green Bay resident and Packers fan opinion:

1. There's no drama in Title Town this year.

2. Aaron Rogers is pretty damn good.

3. The Vikes head office is now offering $20 million with 16 guarantied. If he takes it, there won't be anyone left who doesn't know all you need to do is rub money on your sore ankle and it gets better!

4. He'll play this year and take the money.

5. Packers still take division.

Brett just became a gran'pa. His daughter had a baby. How cool is that,....Gramps Favre passing and handing off the pigskin if he decides to sign up again with the Vikings.
