OT/Anyone recently Purchase Ultimate Defrag?

From time to time I've noticed that most everyone who talks about being to sure to defrag on a regular basis for FSX use also mentions Ultimate Defrag as their program of choice. I downloaded a Demo version and found it to be everything I heard and more so I decided to purchase while their Sale was still ongoing (50% Off til midnight tonight). I made the purchase for Ultimate Defrag Ver3, everything went through fine and I got the e-mail they mentioned that would contain the download link and registration number. Only thing is the download link wasn't there and neither was the registration number. I can't find any area on their website where I can even download version 3. I've already sent an e-mail to support on this but I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem with this company?
 
Yes been using it for quite a while, the 2008 version and later v3 .About a month ago my pc crashed and had to reinstall windows,and had the installers for both backed up on an external hard drive .I tried to install v3 and it would not accept my key,but would let me install the 2008 version.Went to their website looking for help and even sent them an email and never heard anything back,so I'm still using the old version.

I use the V3 since ....
I am very pleased with this product and its capacity to "move Archive folders and files" out of the way of the High Priority folders.
 
Bought this in 2010 and got seperate emails for invoice, download link and license number. I had to register on their site at the time and remember going back later to re-download. Worth a try?

Maybe they are on a long break for New Year?

Sorry Ed , I guess I better read the threads a little more thoroughly next time . I guess this is what happens when we are approaching Medicare age !:icon_lol:
 
Thanks everybody, I got that "Instant E-mail" with the download link and activation code about 8 hours after the purchase, lol. Like "teeboy", they came as separate e-mails too, one with the download link and one with the activation code.

Just a side note, I did the defrag that allowed me to drag and drop the FSX folder on the outer area of the drive to "Speed up" load times, and actually did it for the main drive as well. . . . .it got so slow I had to go back and just do a normal defrag to get things back where they were. So that doesn't always work as advertised. Still a great program and for 50% off, it was a no brainer.:salute:
 
I used to use it and was happy with it's results but after rebuilding the PC I reinstalled and asked them for a new key - last I ever heard...

Yea, that appears to be the norm. They do a lot of advertising both online and in magazines, yet they seem to be quite lacking when a response to a question or problem is posed to them.:salute:
 
I've used Ultimate Defrag since it's inception, always had good and fast service. V4 is supposed to be out anytime now, that's why they are pushing the sale. New purchasers will get free update to V4.

One thing you MUST do when defragging, Ed, is ALWAYS do the defrags in a specific order. Just fragmented files first, then what ever specialized setup you have. If you don't do it that way, it does slow things down.
