Hello all and Happy New Year to everyone!

I have a question on CFS3 Firepower. Do you need a vanilla install to get it to work properly or can it work with CFS3.1 along with NEK addons already installed? Also is it a frame rate killer or takes up alot of space on a PC?

Just got back on my feet and I'm trying to learn how to work CFS3 all over again after a very tough past year.

Have n' t tried installing with NEK already in, but I have successfully put NEK into a Firepower version.

Vanilla for Firepower? Strictly no, I was successful in getting a 3.1a version, then adding the Microsoft 1 or 2 standard mission packs put out at 3.1a time, then putting Firepower on top of that (Think those 'Mission Pack' mission(s) are ok, so left 'em in).


As you know, strictly 'Vanilla' for the intalls can't have this mission pack.
 
Thanks for the Info! So another question, Once you pay for the Firepower addon, do you have to pay for it again if you re-install CFS3 on another PC? or do you get a product key of some kind?

Hi autothrottle, I seem to recall that there were some option files that came with Firepower, depending upon whether you had the NEK installed or not. If you do not have them, these may have come with the 1.8 update? The point being that in the Firepower readmes they should tell you if Firepower can be installed over the top of a 3.1a vanilla with NEK installed first. I suspect it can be.

In terms of your issues with Firepower needing to be reinstalled at some stage, what I did was write Firepower into a blank folder so I had the flexibility to install it wherever I needed to. this was all many moons ago so I'm a bit hazy on the detail.

i have eto. -firepower - ddons all in one, with alot of enhancements .....all i can say


it rocks ******************************


scernery i tweaked , and effects superb... imho better than fsx
