How bout fake or (Photo real)? Some or all of those objects probably had real photos mapped on them..kind of a mute test to me..How bout a real test --Fake animation or real..then it would be easy

I dont know. Being as the idea of CGI and all that is to be as real as possible, I think anything is game. The idea of the "game" is for it to be tough to tell, not easy!

they would have had phtoreal textures on them, in which case it would be off wood, stones, metal etc that have been modified to fit the uvs of the model (if they did unwraped them). After that you then have to get the lights right, and its them that can make or break a render, get the lights wrong and even if you used photoreal textures throughout it wouldnt look right.

I actually think that the idea CGI is to use it to do things you wouldnt otherwise be able to do in real life, it doesnt have to be real as possible, it can be whatever you want it to be :wave:
