Hi All,
Tonight I was earth googling in New Guinea around the location of the Gusap airstrip. There are some pretty good resolutions in this area by the strip where you can still see some of the earthen reventments.
But, what the heck do you think this shape is from? Something left over from WWII?

Can,t put a link to google earth so I zipped up a kmz file.

108 revetments...this airstrip really evolved through its short time as a military strip. I had one picture snatched from the internet...showing it with P-47's and less then 1/2 that size. Very interesting.
