Last total eclipse in the US until August 21st, 2017.
Been plenty of partial ones over the years.

I remember an eclipse back in 68, could have been 69, that cut across Central NY. IIRC, it was as close to total as it could get. We stood out on the ski slope at Alfred, NY where I was working to watch it. What an awesome sight to behold.
