OT - .NET Framework

A new software ask me to update my .net framework so I take a look at windows update but it tell me I'm already up to date. When I look at the installed software list (add/erase) it show me version 1 & 2 but nothing more. So I want to know what files I should download. I found link to v.3, 3.5, 3.5 SP1, 4 and some beta. Did the latest release contain all previous files or I need to download all of them.

Every comment would be welcome.

The only software I have that needs net is my backup software (ghost), and I have always just done upgrades thru windows update.

but in add remove, i have netframework 1, netframework hotfix 1.1 , netframework 2.0 servicepack 2 , and netframework 3.0 service pack 2.

fyi,,,i am on xp pro service pack 3

So I think I need at least 3.0 but should I download v.3 and v.3 sp1 and sp2?

About mp, I would need to reinstall OFF because I needed some HD place for my work. Maybe next week but I should play IL2 with The Boys of 60's sooner.
