A RAF Tornado on a simulated bombing run nearly collided with a low flying Tucano. Never saw it that close before. :faint:

I would certainly agree with the pilot's comment! That was a little too close for comfort.

Made me laugh how the pilot was singing to himself afterwards, I'd have been performing an underwear check!

I think that some RAF Controllers covering this area
will have to do some very hard debriefings about
what happened !!! :argue:

We will certainly have an incident report about it
in a few months on Air Forces Monthly Magazine.

It was a very close one

One has to appreciate as well....the Tornado passed beneath the Tucano, already at 250 ft above the ground.

Hmm, gets on the news at the same time as a confirmation that HMS Vanguard collided a French Nuclear sub.

1. A Tornado jockey is way cooler than a sub captain.
2. A nuclear sub is harder to miss than a Tucano. :amen:
