PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — An 82-year-old woman who accidentally crashed her car through the front window of a southwest Michigan salon stuck around afterward for an appointment to get her hair done.
Authorities said Marion Zock was parking her Ford Fusion on Thursday outside Classic Hair Design in Kent County's Plainfield Township, near Grand Rapids, when she stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake.
Two people were injured, including an employee who returned to work after treatment and a girl with a bruised arm.

Zock told WOOD-TV her foot slipped from the brake. She's a regular customer and says she was "so embarrassed."

Stylist Kristi Dochod told WWMT-TV the crash sounded like an explosion. The salon stayed open as the car was removed, and is open during repairs.

i once was returning to work from picking up lunch. as i sat in traffic across the road from a 7-11, i watched a car coming the other way make a right turn into the parking lot, and keep right on going, into the store through the front window. i remember thinking "wow! i didn't even see any brake lights!" no one at work believed me until the end of the day when they saw it for themselves. i also remember noticing that when they rebuilt the front of the window, the glass no longer went all the way to the ground. it was brick/block for the first 2 ft. :icon_lol:
