'OT: Static Display Aircraft'

Nice shots! I like the ambiente with the B-17, maybe one day I should get a big garden and recreate that!

Very interesting thread Panther!

Although I did not take these pictures, I felt like posting them....

The first Phantom picture is of BUNO 153839, when it was at NATC Patuxent River, MD, in the 70s. I worked on her, and had the privilege of riding backseat a couple times.

The second picture of 153839 is where it is now displayed, at the Sikeston airport in MO.

Ahhh...you'll be pleased, Panther, I got an email the other night from a person who is making Randolph for FSX. You might have to come in out of the cold....

Best,

Jim

Panther, hope your avatar doesn't mean you use a Nikon. The Canon 5D and 7D are my favorites. Along with my 200 and 400mm lenses. Photography is in the eye of the shooter. Great hobby.

Good stuff chief!
When I was stationed at NAS Keflavik, I seem to remember a Navy F-4 on static display.....Wonder if I still have that negative laying around....
