can someone remind me how to get to the virtual memory and then how to adjust it to maximize the system?

i remember Leo LaPorte had a formula but i cant seem to locate it.....i just upgraded my system to 4GB of ram and im transfering a potload of unused but wanted files to a exteranl HDD.....ive allready done the blackviper mods...should make FSX run pretty smooth soon...

Win 7: Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Settings -> Performance -> Settings -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory -> Change -> Remove the tick in "Automatically..." -> Select "No paging file" -> "Set" -> "OK" -> Close the windows, if asked... -> ...Reboot -> Access the "Virtual Memory" dialogue again -> Mark your Windows drive -> "Custom Size" -> "Initial" and "Maximum" to 3072 Mbytes (you won't need more) -> "Set" -> "OK" -> Close windows and possibly... -> ...Reboot -> Done.

Great job Bjoern!

I was just getting ready to ask the same question.
Now would your answer be the same if I said that I was running XP?

Does it matter which drive you run it off of? I have two to choose from; FSX is on J: and the backup drive is C:
