Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I tried searching but the search bar kept tossing the "11"! Admins please relocate if necessary.

Anyway, I want to pull the trigger on Windows 11 but want to check with You guys to see if I should anticipate any issues. My specs are in my sig. The install is an "UPGRADE" rather than a clean install from scratch.

Any thoughts?

Steve

Why? You seem to have a very decent PC, & W11 is optimized for newer hardware.
All the sims work well in W11.

Thanks Robin. As you noted, I don't believe there will be any hardware issues. My point is that I want do an upgrade install rather that a clean install so that I didn't have to reinstall all of my apps and sims, etc.

AhhA.. Sorry, I thought that 'pulling the trigger' meant dumping it.
So, I've done both, updating/upgrading & a fresh install (at different times.
I would go for it & do an upgrade from Windows 10 & hope that all goes well.
so, as they say.. “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst”

I'm running an Asus Ryzen 7 16GB W11 laptop with a 500GB SSD, NVIDIA RTX3050.
I'm running my sims, FS9 & P3D off a 2TB portable drive.

Oops! Sorry. I guess I shouldn’t have used slang. I just upgraded my wife’s laptop with no issues. Was hopeful of doing the same with my desktop but just thought I’d check here to see what others’ experience might have been.
