.. hopefully at some point OFF can acquire a new sim engine and we can get something even better then ROF, knowing the OFF team, we will.
But for now ......

It looks and sounds fantastic, but...

a) With only two flyable a/c
b) Only 1918 covered
c) No dynamic campaign

a) and b) will be improved upon for sure, with addons, but c)? Without c) it will be little more than a glorious-looking MP w@nk-fest.

Plus I shudder to think what kind of hardware will be needed to run it. Think OFF has problems with frame-rates, looking at an airfield? RoF will have the same problem just looking at one a/c through the gun-sights. :icon_lol:

«Career» mode - generated missions on the basis of the historical data about actions of the aviation in 1917-1918. Users can choose a plane type, a regiment and a date with which they wishes to begin their career

There might be something like a dynamic campaign!

ROF sure looks beautiful but it´s still far from finished and there is no release date yet and i don´t think it will be available in 2009.

..... But just imagine what the OFF team would have done with this gaming engine! We all need to somehow help them reach that gold.

Cheers,

It sure looks nice. I will buy it when it has a campaign to match OFF, which probably means Winder will have to adapt the OFF manager to work with ROF and the team will have to port over all the OFF models and skins.

Hey, it could happen....maybe...some day???
