OV-10 Engine Sound Overhaul.

This is a video clip of work I've recently done to re-work the Aerosoft OV-10's engine sounds. After buying the OV-10 not long after it was released, my immediate feeling was that it was without question the very best rendition of the OV-10 ever created for any flight simulator program but there was one glaring issue, the engine sound is way off from the real bird. I know this as I have been around OV-10's since I was a boy and used to re-fuel them on our transient ramp at the FBO I used to work at over 25 years ago (not long before the OV-10 was retired). There are a number of aircraft which use variations of the Garrett T76 turboprop engine but none sound quite like the OV-10 in flight. Years ago well before the Aerosoft OV-10 appeared, I used Piglet's excellent OV-10 series in FS8, FS9, and FSX and I ended up buying Aaron Swindle's OV-10 sound pack for use with both of his FS9/FSX OV-10's. In general, that sound pack is pretty good but the exterior engine sounds are way off while the VC engine sounds are very convincing (based on several high quality OV-10 cockpit videos I have seen). I have tried other options including upgrading that sound pack but to no avail. I recently decided to give it another try but this time to mix some of the Aaron Swindle engine sound with the freeware Do228 Garrett sounds. I am not what I'd call a 'wizard" with modifying sound files but rather okay at minor tweaking of them. In the end, my mod with the mix of the two separate groups of sound files ended up sounding a lot better than I had anticipated and IMHO, far more accurate for an OV-10 sound simulation than anything I've heard up to now. Unfortunately, I will not be able to release this due to the copyrights but I am hoping that my research and testing will help re-ignite interest in getting some of the more talented FS sound engineers to build a full HD quality sound file which mirrors the Aerosoft OV-10's great quality. Anyhow, here's my less than perfect rendering after dozens of attempts. Opinions welcome (and hopefully someone will pick up the cause). I am sure I'm not the only one out there who would pay for a good quality soundset for the Bronco
