The 343rd FG of the 11th Air Force lives again over Dutch Harbor.

IRIS P-40E for FSX.

Regards, Tom

Nice! I'm seriously contemplating buying this plane. Have the FS9 one and always liked it. Great paint!

Personally i'm looking at buying the A2A Simulations P-40 set, from what i hear and have experienced so far the detail and simulation of their aircraft are second to none. Even actual pilots have written in complementing them on their planes.

Nice paint though nonetheless ;)

Cool. I spent many, many days in Dutch Harbor, supporting the fishing fleet up there. That mountain in the background is called Mount Balyhoo. I remember they pulled a large part of a Japanese fighter out of a lake or something when I was up there years ago. I know there was a large armed forces base up there during WWII and even a POW camp (the house I lived in when I was there was used for officers housing during the war). The tower for the POW camp was actualy still standing for several years while I was working up there but blew over in a strong wind one day. Was it P-40's that flew out of DH?
