A29-310 was a P-40M-5 which was originally allocated the USAAF serial 43-5508 before being delivered to the RAAF in March 1943. It was operated by No. 2 Operational Training Unit at Mildura, Victoria and was flown by Sqn Ldr Lou Spence on at least one occasion.
