P-47D Thunderbolt, EC1/8 Maghreb, French Air Force, Morocco, 1950s.

The French Air Force continued to use the Thunderbolt, essentially as a support aircraft, until the late 1950s in North Africa. This particular aircraft was flown by the grandfather on one of my students.
