P3D DC-10 VLAT Air Tanker Project.

I started a thread a long ways back, but at the time the project fell from interest. Until the last month or so. I've teamed up with George Arana again and we've put together the DC-10 VLAT air tankers. I'd say they are probably 90% complete. I'm just adding things here and there at this point to help polish them up so to speak. These will be able to be used in FSX up to P3Dv5 (hopefully). They are based off the SGA DC-10s that George originally converted to FSX native some time ago. There will be 2 models in the pack. The first converted DC-10 T-910 was a DC-10-10 series jet. The other model is the DC-10-30, which all 4 of them are now in 2020. The original T-910 was retired a few years ago and replaced with the -30 model. T-910, 911, 912, and 914 are all represented livery wise. As well as T-910 in it's debut livery with Cal Fire in 2007 and T-910s contract livery for NSW in Australia circa 2018-19. But being the air tanker nut that I am and the fact I now have a bunch of firefighting mods in the works. This is yet another aircraft I thought needed to be represented out there since none exist. :wiggle:

More progress has been made on the DC-10s. Drop effect is done, and some other things like views. Looking over liveries and fixing the little things is really what's left. I'm expecting a preliminary release date of the July 4th. Just in time for the holiday weekend here in the states. I'm pretty excited to release this one.

T-911 in P3Dv4.5 last night.

Everything is currently set up for a 4th of July release of these. 2 models and 6 total liveries. T-910 in early livery under the DC-10-10 model. T-910, 911, 912, and 914 in US operation livery. And T-910 in NSW RFS contract livery from the 2018-19 season, follow on the DC-10-30 model. I have added new views, some added lights, custom retardant effect to match the DC-10s considerable sized retardant load. Also included custom sounds from Benoit Plamondon as they are the best freeware sounds I could dig up for the DC-10s. These are based on the SGA/Thomas Ruth/Eric Cantu models. So it was a great starting platform already. Super excited to bring this unique version of airtanker to the sim world. The first and only true flyable one I believe. Should be compatible with FSX and P3D when it comes out. Like normal I'll probably be hanging around for some time that weekend to check for any messages for support etc. :jump::jump:
