Hello,

I am new to P3DV4 and enjoys at lot the enhancement from FSX.

But, as you know, one always wants more...

Hence my question : when I am more than 5/6 nm away from an airport I see a simplified view and suddenly at that distance the details of the airport appear (was already that way in FSX).

Is there a parameter of P3DV4 to adjust that distance (as long as the PC is powerful enought to handle it, of course).

It's difficult to give an answer, the reason is that everyone's system is different. What would work on my machine, may not work on yours. Having said that, you could search Google for "prepar3d v4 LOD radius"...and there is a performance/tips section in this forum where you might also find an answer.
