P3Dv3.3.3 has been released!

Should I just install the client and content like I did when I upgraded to 3.2?
Is scenery necessary?

Hi guys, I purchased 3.2.3 and have been running it for about 6 weeks now. Its now highly tweaked with my orbx scenery, custom config settings, lots of payware and freeware added aircraft...

How do I preserve all that whilst doing the upgrade, or is this literally blow it all away and start over? I read the pdf file LM put out on installation, but am confused on this issue still.

Whats the best way to do this with minimum pain and spending the next 3 days solid reinstalling stuff?

Eric

I'll wait until the 3rd party stuff gets updated to this version... FSUIPC, Orbx ObjectFlow, ASN, F1 GTN 750, REX, etc.

Sounds like an interesting update, expecially the bugfixes and performance updates.

I'll also wait a few days,no need to hurry!

Cheers,
Mark

Take a look at the top of this thread at AVSIM:
http://www.avsim.com/topic/489472-prepar3d-v333-released/

OPTION 1:This is what I used to install client an content from 3.1 to 3.2-no issues and no reinstall of anything

See this thread for what the changes are:
http://prepar3d.com/SDKv3/LearningCenter/what_is_new/new_v33.html

You will notice the scenery had only one change for 32 bit machines
That is why you do not need to reinstall the whole program

Thanks for the heads up. I think I will wait a week or two before upgrading.
Same here John, actually I may wait until I know Instant Scenery 3 is compatible again. They are slow to bring IS3 into line with these updates and rushing to get the latest P3D version just causes me to have to drop any scenery work I'm doing until it's updated.

Only 4 hours to complete the download for 3.3.3. 1 and half days so far.

My connection speed really sucks. By the time I get it updated all the 3rd party addons will be updated and be compatible.

Only took ~5 minutes to install the new v3.3 Client, then another 5 minutes to re-install v3.2 Client when I realised TacPack wasn't updated yet! Doh!

I should know this after years past but I was wondering the same thing . I know we can uninstall current Client then install the new client and retain our programs (ORBX etc) realizing that not all programs are updated for the new release yet . Should the Content also be uninstalled and installed and does it retain present programs ?

Edit : Found answer , should have looked and read farther
