P3DV5 Installation Question

Sundog

SOH-CM-2025
Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the installation of version 5. Do you install it just like we install upgrades for v4.X, if we don't plan to keep v4.5 installed as well? Or do we have to do it as a whole new install?

Thanks,
Ken

A complete new installation Ken.
P3Dv5 is a whole new animal.
You can keep P3D4+ installed as well, I'd just suggest on a seperate drive.
:encouragement:

Ken, it is a whole new install. It installs as a completely stand alone flight sim, separate from any previous version, with its own specific folders/files all the way through.

Edit: Wombat beat me to the punch (I take too long typing sometimes). : )

Thanks guys. So I'll have to reinstall all of my Orbx scenery, but that's OK. Maybe it's time for me to learn how to install add ons in a separate folder now, lol.

Ken

I have both on the same PC but on not the same disc. No any conflict. I advice to keep v4.5 still till the LM will solve all basic bugs from v5.
