P6-E for FSX

Between the two great wars, when I was reading the exploits of Lt. Phineas Pinkham in the pulp magazine, "Flying Aces" there was a popular Pursuit airplane called the P6-E Hawk. It could fly at the blinding speed of 200 MPH.
It was the prettiest airplane that ever took wing. In these days of skinny-winged, oil burning darts, it's still a very handsome airplane.
I just wish that some one of you airplane drawers would appreciate the beauty of this airplane and cause the Hawk to fly again in FSX.

Bill, I know you can do it and do a bang up job. I saw the glider that you built for Plum Island. But you're so involved with all your other duties and responsibilties, you don't have time to take on a chore like this. But if you ever did, it would sure be a winner.

FAC257, you must be my age. That Aurora kit came out and they charged $1.59 cents for it. Now it's selling for $75.00 bucks. I wished I kept some of my 225 kits instead of giving them away.

You have me by at least a generation. :)

Most of my model kits I bought from the base hobby shops with my allowance from daily chores. I spent about every cent I made back then on airplane kits. I think I remember the base hobby shop prices being about 1/2 the retail marked price on the box and then no tax added.

I would sure love a new P-6E also. I do get to enjoy flying one when the weather is good, also.

Modeir, I hope it flies half as good as it looks. Do you have any in-flight pictures? I take it was home built and not from a kit. It's just beautiful !

Helldiver, It's from a prebuilt kit, called an ARF, (Almost Ready to Fly) comes already finished in that scheme. Final assembly of major parts, installation of radio and engine is all that's required. Took about a week of after work nights to assemble.

Here's a few shots of another one, not mine, and how it comes out of box, along with a video of mine, me flying it.
