Pacific Black Sand Beaches

Some of the islands of the Pacific had black sand beaches, My father landed on some on his LST in WWII. I wonder if Talon has ever been on
any of those islands? Could they be made for CFS2 as a choice of
texture? ckissling

vshoresu.bmp

Hi ckissling, The vshoresu.bmp can be altered to fit what you describe. Only problem is all the Pacific shores then would look volcanic/sand.
I think a custom texture.bgl from G2K would do the trick. One would just have to get a handle on Ground 2K. :kilroy:

Yes, I have never tried it, but black sand shorelines should be very doable.

Maybe if you put the customized black sand vshoresu.bmp into the custom scenery's own local texture folder you could get it to show for just that particular scenery but not the rest. And as dvslats said, you would have to create a custom shoreline.bgl using G2k. I havent ever tried only because it hasn't come up. But if I ever get around to redoing Iwo Jima for example I would definitely give it a shot.

It should not be much of a problem at all.

black sand, red sand and very strange, green sand beaches, I've seen all at a Hawaii vocation, I think you will find this kind of beaches, mostly black sand only at volcanic island's or at the mainland near a volcano.
