Painter Needed

Mick

SOH-CM-2024
About a year or so ago my FS modeling partner David Wooster and I both realized that we were totally burned out on FS and we retired from the hobby, or at least from FS development. At that time we'd started working on a Grumman Cougar. It was to be a multi-version model including the smooth-nosed F9F-6, the F9F-8 with the bulge under the nose, the F9F-8P with the big photo nose, and the F9F-8T two-seater.

David continued to fiddle, and he's finished the models, panels, instruments and flight model. Now he need someone to paint the Cougars, and it's not likely to be me. I don't even have a functioning installation of FS9 in my present computer and I don't know if the programs I use to paint planes even work in my current operating system.

Is there anyone who might be interested in painting David's Cougars?

Indeed

I am interested... see my posts on the SOH project... I did the interior work on this Milton Shupe project...

Mick we very much appreciate how you and David have put forth that extra effort for the rest of us in the FS9 community. Speaking from experience it's mighty hard to recapture that sort of drive when you thought it was burned out of you - and not just in FS-related things. We look forward to the completion of your project and its uploading. Thank you again very much!:salute:

I'm far too busy to go looking for your posts, but I'd like to see some screenies of your work on some planes.

No offense, but if I had time to research your posts, I'd probably have time to paint the plane myself.

See your PMs; I just sent you a message with further comments.

An F9F-8P??? Really? Can it be??? :jump:

Great news indeed. I'd hope they will work in FSX - but I know this isn't the place to discuss that. Back to your original post, Morton did a delicious set of Cougar paints for Ito's many moons ago. Perhaps he might be inclined to this project? Just a thought.

You might get some more interest by editing the title - "New Grumman Cougar project - painter(s) needed" - just wearing my marketing hat for a bit ...

Either way - thanks for your work in our hobby, it is greatly appreciated.

Mick, if I had FS9er installed I would be glad to help. I got the bug and there's no cure but to paint. Unfortunately I'm in the dark (side) I'm just getting geared up for some paint splashing in FSX. It will be nice to see your labors fruition.
