Panel Problem

I am doing a bit of bitmap updating for the Lancair Legacy 2000. I've run into a window I can't seem to remove. On the right side of the panel in the VC there is a box that was there for the Engine readout gauge which doesn't work in FSX but the box remains. Is there some way to eliminate it?

This appears once the sim has loaded jmig. It doesn't show up on the bmp, actually that's what I redid. The original was a bit bland, so I have updated that. The texture file has a lot of textures with generic names and they're just squares of color. What I'm afraid of is that this black box is something in the mdl file. brrrrrrrrrrrr. . .hate it when that happens.
