Panning round the cockpit is jerky In P3D v3

I think it's getting worse - or maybe I'm just noticing it more! - but even though I get perfectly good frame rates on unlimited (30 to 60 depending on scenery, weather and aircraft, as you would expect), panning with the spacebar round the vc is never really smooth, and sonetimes it's horribly jerky.
It's worse with the more complex aircraft and especially when glass screens are turned on, but it can also be quite bad with aircraft that just have steam gauges.
I've tried tweaking the settings but nothing has made it better.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

When setting up your pan switch use "Axis Assignment" instead of "buttons & switches"
Set 0/90/180 and 270 degrees (four points of the switch to Pan View)
Send to FS as normal axis...

I use the HOTAS and with this setting panning is as smooth as silk!

You might also clean out your shaders folder at this location only:
Make sure you have "show hidden folders" checked to see this path....
"C:\Users\your computer name\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Shaders"

Everytime you change drivers, add scenery, add new aircraft it is a good practice to clean out this folder and let the sim rebuild
It solves a lot of problems......the first time you load the sim after cleaning out this folder it is a little slow to load, the first time only
