Pat Wilson

Dude... that's terrible news. Thanks for posting this Shred. We need to stay in touch with Pat. I can't imagine what he's going through right now.

Never had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Wilson, but it sure puts things in a harsh perspective. If anything were ever to happen to my wee wife (27 years we've been together), I doubt very much if I could find much in the way of a reason to continue on without her. She is my life.

Absolutely horrible turn of events. My heart goes out to the entire family and their friends.

If that sort of thing doesn't make you go hug every single member of your family, nothing will.

May God grant Mr. Wilson the strength to carry on without his beloved wife.

Best,

Parky

Thanks for the heads up Shred. Hopefully some us old RB3d'ers posting there will give Pat some support and comfort. I used to lurk on Pat's WFP Patch forum and the Swwisa forum years ago and found him to be a class act. Not fair that bad things happen to such good people, but life works that way sometimes.

I just saw Pat's message over at Delphi and was heading here to give everyone a heads up. What horrible news. I left him a short note of prayers of condolences... I didn't even know what to say, nor can I imagine what he's going through. I've never met Pat, but I second Scout's thoughts - he is a truly stand up guy.

We meet our flight sim friends on these forums over the years... and you never really know how connected you are until something like this happens. My heart goes out to him and his family.

God, and right at Christmas...

Shred- Terrible, terrible news. So sad to read this.

Thoughts and Prayers

may I add my condolences to all of yours The sim community always needs the thoughts and prayers of fellow simmers just to get through life but at times like these you guys really do excel....somehow puts the rest of life and all our concerns into perspective.

I have spoken to Pat many times while we worked our respective RB3D patches through their paces. He's a great guy, very helpful and a keystone to the WWI sim community.

This is not going to be an easy time for him as I know he was a family man as we often joked about our children, as I found out his life actually parelleled my own. Our wives are the same age, and we both have daughters the same age. I can't imagine the feelings he's going through now, as I know I'd be a total mess if it were me and my family.

Pat is a great guy. I felt so high of Pat that I specifically asked that he become part of the OFF Dev team, but due to his work and family commitment, he declined after a short stint with us.

Guys, anything that you can say, or do for him will be well recieved over the next few months. He's a staple to the long history of SWWISA and RB3D modding... stay with him and try to keep up and focused. It's the least we can do for someone who gave so much to us and asked nothing in return.
